Lead Drug Product Development Strategy and Portfolio Management (m/f)

Verantwortungsgebiet
• Develop mid and long term strategic plans for global biologics late phase drug product development (BPD-DPD)
• Lead strategic projects
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of current and future pipeline, capability, capacity and technology needs
• Portfolio management
• Identify and evaluate project risks and opportunities and make recommendations to the leadership team
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews with the DPD leadership team to ensure clarity on long term impact of portfolio opportunities
• Collaborate with interface functions to ensure up to date information for planning is agreed upon and project support activities are coordinated across development partners
• Lead the monthly business review cycle
• Own business planning numbers on a global DPD level
• Coordinate rolling forecasts, target and life-time planning within DPD
• Facilitate monthly reporting by coordinating project status reports and input to DPD monthly business report
• Facilitate leadership team meetings and coordinate global DPD activities.
• Deputize for the DPD unit head

Qualifikationen
• Advanced degree in pharmacy, biotechnology, or equivalent (life sciences)
• Excellent English required (oral & written), German: desirable
• Experience (6 years +) in technical late phase development and tech-transfer. Background in Biologics drug product development and/or insights to the commercial pharmaceutical manufacturing is of advantage.
• Wide experience (4 years +) in managing a significant product portfolio in a global setting.
• Pronounced analytical and strategic thinking abilities
• Proven track record in resource and budget management of technical development line function.
• Proven track record of successfully managing interfaces with other functions in a highly matrixed environment

We offer a market-competitive base salary in line with your qualification, experience and individual competencies. Additionally we offer an attractive incentive program, a modern company pension scheme, childcare facilities, learning & development options and worldwide career opportunities within the Novartis group. The base pay is composed of a market oriented excess payment and the respective amount according to the Austrian collective agreement (at least € 59,156.16 per year on a full-time basis).
