IT Support Specialist and Team Lead (f/m)

FULLTIME (40H)

Are you ready to take responsibility for your customers and the members of your team? Do you have a strong technical background and experience providing IT Support for end-users? In this position, you will provide excellent IT support to our scientists together with a team of IT support specialists. For our diverse scientific research environment, your ability to analyze problems and propose multiple alternative solutions is important to address new challenges. Responsibilities
  • Provide IT support for end users and work with other IT teams to resolve incidents and fulfill service requests
  • Lead the IT support team (currently 6 members) at IST Austria, which delivers technical support for Windows, Mac and Linux desktops and business software
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to computer hardware, software, web sites, VoIP equipment, and conference room equipment
  • Run our ticketing system (OTRS) based on ITIL processes, including a CMDB for IT asset management
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in technical user support for Windows, Mac, and Linux desktop platforms
  • First experiences with team leadership/supervisory responsibilities, allocating resources and managing service levels
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A methodical and well-organised approach to work
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience
  • Language Skills: English fluent
