Professional IT Consultant in Data Management (f/m)

In order to strengthen and enrich the Data Warehouse IT department, we are looking for an ambitious and pro-active Professional IT Consultant who feels comfortable with project coordination & data logistics challenges in the area of data warehouses and data lakes across multiple DWH teams as well as communication with our network banks. Our unit is responsible for innovation and operations of the data management solutions like enterprise- and group data warehouse and data lakes for Head Office and Network Units, which are the basis for bank steering (CFO, CRO), compliance, retail, marketing and advanced analytics.

What you can expect:

  • Act as end-to-end coordinator for business demands in the area of data integration within the DWH department by coordinating requirements engineering, performing estimations  and tracking of progress
  • Communicate effectively across hierarchy including senior management within Head Office IT and Business
  • Lead and/or support sub-projects or project streams
  • Act as single point of contact and face to the customer for data delivery demands towards business in the area of bank steering
  • Organize the logistics for data demands to fill the data lake
  • Act as a consultant in projects, identify project stakeholders and transfer their demands into structured solution requirements
  • Support definition and implementation of methodologies and new processes in accordance with the “big picture” of the group data architecture
  • Support the business lines in the definition of new data  requirements and change requests to existing  data delivery streams
  • Alignment of  requirements with other business lines, detecting synergies and removing contradictions 
  • Enable and support internal process and technical improvements projects across multiple DWH teams

What you bring to the table:
  • University degree or similar with IT and/or business background
  • Significant Data Warehouse and project coordination experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in the Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence area
  • Knowledge of the bank steering business (finance, controlling, risk management) and IT processes
  • Ideally experience in leading small teams
  • Structured way of working
  • Coordination skills to facilitate activities with colleagues
  • High level of communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to analyze and design data flows and business processes
  • Team player, service orientation, high level of commitment and motivation
  • Analytical, result-oriented and structured way of working
  • Fluent in English
