We are seeking a flow cytometry expert with profound experience in tumor biology and ex vivo profiling of immune cells to strengthen our team in cancer research at Boehringer Ingelheim in Vienna, Austria.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analysis, design and interpretation of flow cytometric experiments to help guide the development of novel cancer drugs
  • Evaluating, implementing and advancing innovative approaches in single cell analysis
  • Keeping instrumentation, workflows and methods at “state of the art” level
  • Being a key reference person at the interface of technology and biology
  • Driving and shaping critical internal and external collaborations to advance the expertise of Boehringer Ingelheim in cellular profiling
We offer a market-competitive salary package in line with your qualification, experience and individual competencies. The base pay is composed of a market oriented excess payment and the respective amount according to the Austrian collective agreement (at least € 60,000 gross per year/full-time).

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in natural sciences highly desired
  • Strong background in tumor biology and cellular immunology, strong experience in ex vivo analysis and immune cell phenotyping
  • Advanced theoretical and practical skills in multi-color flow cytometry (multi-color panel design, setup, QC and analysis)
  • In-depth understanding of flow cytometric applications and instrumentation
  • Enthusiastic about continuously developing and enhancing single cell analysis methodology
  • Expert skills in running and maintaining high end flow cytometry instrumentation
  • Experience with cell sorting
