A group of Austrian investors and experts on construction of small power plants paid a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BH), reports BH daily Avaz. The key task of the delegation is to examine the best possible way of investing in this sector in BH.
Vienna’s Winestrom, ABB, Gugler Water Turbines are some of the companies whose representatives compose the delegation from Austria. According to them, small-scale power plants provide as much as a third of total electricity in this country.
The delegation members spotted a number of powerful springs during their visit to Fojnica. This was where they made the first negotiations with BH officials from the line entity ministries.
Astrid Pummer, Trade Consultant of the Austrian Embassy to BH, said that the companies which composed the delegation, as well as some other firms in Austria, expressed a strong interest in investing in BH, in particular in the hydro-energy sector. According to her, these are all experienced companies who did business in the Alps and other mountainous regions of Europe.
