The Zagreb Chamber of the Economy and the Austrian Foreign Trade Office organised in Zagreb Tuesday a business forum on cooperation possibilities which was attended by representatives of some 60 Austrian and Croatian companies. The forum was organised as part of a visit by an Austrian business delegation to the Zagreb Chamber of the Economy.The delegation included representatives of different business sectors, mostly the food-processing, metal and power industries, and from the tourism and environmental protection sectors. The Vienna Chamber of the Economy and the Zagreb Chamber of the Economy signed a cooperation agreement. Trade between Croatia and Austria in 2005 amounted to USD 1.7 billion, with Croatian exports amounting to USD 628 million and imports from Austria amounting to USD 1.06 billion. With investments between 1993 and 2005 totaling USD 3.3 billion, Austria is the leading foreign investor in Croatia.
