Skyeurope, low-cost airline listed on the bourses in Warsaw and Vienna, decided to carry out a new share issue by October. The company wants to increase its capital from present EUR 20 million to a maximum of EUR 40 million for purchasing new planes. The time of issue depends on the situation on the market.

"This summer is rather a bad moment since the situation on the bourses in the region is not good," declared Andrea Hofer, the SkyEurope manager for investor relations.

At present SkyEurope’s rating on the bourse is not favorable for the issue either. Airlines’ shares debuted on the Warsaw bourse at EUR 6 in September 2005, while today their price fluctuates around EUR 4.
