In Kooperation mit dem Standard veranstaltet "The Informatics Innovation Center" (i2c), das Innovationsprogramm der Fakultät für Informatik der TU Wien, eine Reihe von öffentlich zugänglichen Vorlesungen mit renommierten internationalen Innovationsexperten (Arbeitssprache englisch). Als erster Redner konnte Yves Pigneur gewonnen werden, der mit seinem Werk "Business Model Generation" eines der maßgeblichen Werke im Innovationsssektor verfasst hat.

Infos zur Veranstaltung:

This hands-on and interactive talk aims at presenting the Business Model Canvas for designing, assessing and challenging business models. Design thinking attitude will also be emphasized for exploring and prototyping business models. Finally, the synergy between the business model canvas, lean start-up and customer development will be briefly presented for testing value propositions and business models. The tools and methods are based on the book "Business Model Generation" Yves and Alex co-authored, which sold over 600,000 copies around the world and has been translated into over 26 languages.

Prof. Dr. Yves Pigneur is Professor of information systems at HEC Lausanne, Switzerland. He has a doctoral degree of the University of Namur, Belgium. He has been a Professor of Management Information Systems at the University of Lausanne since 1984 and has held visiting professorships at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He is editor-in-chief of the academic journal "Systèmes d'information & mangement" (SIM). Alex Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur authored the book "Business Model Generation: A handbook for visionaries, game changers and challengers."
