Senator Chris Dodd (Connecticut), ehemaliger Präsidentschaftskandidat sieht das ähnlich: "The national leadership of this party has to stand up and reach a conclusion."
Hillary Clinton denkt jedoch nicht daran aufzuhören: "I have no intention of stopping until we finish what we started and until we see what happens in the next 10 contests and until we resolve Florida and Michigan. And if we don't resolve it, we'll resolve it at the convention — that's what credentials committees are for." Die Parteiversammlung der Demokraten, bei der der Präsidentschaftskandidat gekürt wird, kommt vielen Leuten etwas spät vor: sie findet erst Ende August in Denver statt.
Verringert der interne Machtkampf zwischen Clinton und Obama die Chancen der Demokraten auf das Präsidentenamt? Bei den Republikanern steht der Kandidat mit John McCain bereits fest - und der konzentriert sich schon jetzt auf seinen möglichen Gegner. Für Bill Clinton ist diese Meinung "a bunch of Bull." ("Bull" heisst "Quatsch.")
Obama meint, die Vorwahlen sind wie "a good movie that lasted about a half an hour too long."
