Im September wird der fünfte Teil des populären Musikspiels Guitar Hero für Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii sowie PlayStation 2 erscheinen. Herausgeber Activision hat dazu einige Neuigkeiten veröffentlicht.

Avatare und Einspringen

Neu ist, dass Xbox 360- und Wii-Spieler ihre eigens erstellten Avatare und Miis als virtuelle Rockstars nutzen können. Ob die Personalisierung des Games auch für PS3-Spieler ermöglicht wird, ist indes noch offen. Zumindest seit die Integration der Home-Charaktere bereits angedacht worden.

Spielerisch von größerer Bedeutung ist sicherlich der neue Modus "Party Play". Zusätzliche Spieler können jederzeit während eines laufenden Songs mit einsteigen und mitmusizieren. Ein spezieller Koeffizient soll die Punkte adäquat aufrechnen.

Wie auch schon in Guitar Hero World Tour können verschiedene Instrumente eingesetzt werden. Im Unterschied dazu darf man sich diesmal aber aussuchen, wie viele Gitarren, Schlagzeuge oder Mikrofone eingesetzt werden.

Zuguterletzt haben die Entwickler die komplette offizielle Song-Liste herausgegeben. 85 Lieder von 83 Künstlern stehen zur Verfügung:
