IT Data Scientist for Big Data Analytics in Banking (m/f)

We are in the process of setting up the RBI Center of Excellence for Analytics. For this reason we want to strengthen our international team with IT Data Scientists in Group & Austrian IT. We are looking for ambitious and service oriented candidates who will
  • predict and optimize business outcomes
  • increase customer loyalty by offering the right product at the right time
  • increase up and cross-selling of products and services among BLs
  • leverage the distribution of products along digital and non-digital channels
  • product innovation and agility in implementation on the basis of a multi-channel architecture
  • establish a joint cross-functional group to increase synergies (e.g. tools, resources, know-how)
You will act in between business and IT, linking both worlds not just with your business and technical know-how, but as well with your personality.

Your tasks:
  • Perform data studies and data discovery routines for various sources of data (weblogs, data warehouses, social media data sources)
  • Design and implementation of statistical models to predict customer behaviour (e.g. conversion probabilities, target groups, churn rates, etc.)
  • Build Classification Models, Stratified Sampling and Regression Models (using e.g. R, Python, Spark, etc.)
  • Build & Implement a generic framework for Machine and Deep Learning
  • Translate data analysis findings and research principles into written documents
  • Visualize and report data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats that appropriately provides insights to the organization
Your qualifications:
  • 2+ years prior working experience in an analytical role, preferably in one of these industries Banking, Insurance, Telco, Automotive
  • Master degree, preferably in statistics, maths, computer science or related degree
  • Knowledge of statistical and machine learning techniques (for example forecasting models, attribution models, regression and classification models)
  • Familiarity with basic principles of distributed computing and/or distributed databases in Big Data and Hadoop-Ecosystem
  • Experience with data visualisation and preparation of executive-ready reports
  • Hands on experience with R, Java, Scala or Python or similar
  • Knowledge of SQL and Data Warehouse principles
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to analyze and understand complex data flows and business processes
  • Experiences in Agile Software Development (SCRUM), UML, Software Methods
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player with people at all levels
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing
  • Fluent knowledge of English; German is appreciated, but not mandatory
