Your role


  • You are acting as a trading interface between a vast variety of existing global suppliers and customers of the above mentioned region (from converters to end-users) as well as your local partners (distributors, agents) and your own offices and warehouse facilities all over the world.

  • You are offering a high standard of technical know-how, support and after sales service and are flexible to meet the customers’ needs, rising to every challenge presented.

  • As you will have full P&L responsibility for your business, you are self dependent, setting the strategy, effectively managing your team and all commercial aspects (e.g. pricing, risk analysis) as well as taking care of the appropriate logistics together with your back-office team.

  • Due to your local market analysis you are able to identify trends, requirements and new opportunities to boost business in your region.



Ideal candidate


  • A focused, passionate, result oriented, and proactive salesman who demonstrates a strong analytical and commercial ability to flexibly interact with a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver maximum ROI

  • 5+ years of similar sales / commodities trading experience; experience in the Paper and Packaging business (board and corrugating) is preferable

  • Good understanding of international trade processes including trade finance, letters of credit, logistics / shipping administration combined with great negotiation skills

  • Mature personality with intercultural knowledge within the above mentioned region (focus on Algeria and Tunisia) is a must

  • Fluent in French and English, a good command of German is a plus

  • Experience in leading and guiding teams is an asset

  • Willingness to travel (about 20-30%)
