HR Generalist/HR Business Partner for HQ in Vienna (f|m)

Our client is an international financial group headquartered in Vienna and operating in the SEE region. The company is undergoing an exciting transformation phase. The organizational culture and all processes are being renewed and redesigned, structures are being reshaped. HR has also transformed itself; key HR processes are being established, a cultural change program was set up, an academy was created and many more initiatives are under way.

In order to support the transformation and growth process, a new HR Generalist / HR Business Partner position will be created in the Holding in Vienna. In a direct reporting line to the HR Director, you will be responsible for all HR aspects in company headquarters and cooperate closely with all HR group teams.  

 

Your New Role - Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

  • Providing dedicated HR support to the country Board Members and line managers in all people management aspects along the whole employee lifecycle
  • Working as a sparring partner and service partner to management
  • Single point of contact for all HR issues
  • Responsible for enabling and managing change in the business, organization and teams, especially during downsizing and in the following growth phase
  • Responsible for ensuring HR administration, payroll and time records are run according to the legislation and internal rules
  • Responsible for providing support and advising the business in the areas of reporting and budgeting, in co-operation with the Group team for Compensation & Benefits
  • Responsible for providing support and advising the business in the areas of employer branding, recruitment and selection, in co-operation with the Group team for Recruitment
  • Responsible for providing support and advising the business in the areas of talent management, development and career planning, in co-operation with the Group team for Learning & Development
  • Responsible for managing relations with Works Council
  • Responsible for relations with employees
  • Setting up new HR processes from scratch

 

 

Your Profile – Background and Personality:

 

  •  University degree in Business Administration, preferably with focus on HR or additional education in HR topics
  • Solid experience in all HR issues along the employee lifecycle, broad and deep generalist HR knowledge
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of successful working experience in a similar HR generalist role, preferably in an international environment
  • Fluent English and fluent German, additional languages (especially in SEE) are an asset
  • Cultural background from SEE would be an additional plus, but not necessary
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business as well as the impact of HR strategies on the overall business
  • Ideally specific strengths in Performance Management, Recruitment, Austrian labor law
  • Experience in the financial services or services environment a plus/nice-to-have, but open for all industry backgrounds; focus on managerial positions (white collar) rather than blue collar environment
  • Mature personality with assertiveness and good standing, ability to communicate at all levels
  • Effective in influencing at senior executive level
  • Problem solving and leadership skills
  • Planning and organization skills
  • High client-orientation and service-orientation
  • Ability to work in a very international, dynamic, entrepreneurial, continuously changing environment and to deal with uncertainty
  • Team player with ability to deal with cross-function and intercultural teams
  • Open for new ideas, pragmatic, ability to bring in new ideas and creativity to develop topics further
  • Hands-on, self-driven, pro-active, independent personality, highly empathic and respectful

The annual gross salary for this position will be around € 70.000,- in line with the market and depending on your skills and experience.
