According to press reports, Austria-based Asamer Holding plans to spend HUF 600-650 million to build a complex of casinos in the small Hungarian town of Bezenye on the Hungarian-Slovak-Austrian border. The project is to be completed by the autumn of 2009.

Eurovegas Hungary is set to start the project in April 2008 on a 240-hectare plot, and the first phase of the project will witness the construction of a hotel, a casino, a bath, a conference centre and a restaurant.

The concession tender the Finance Ministry invited in early 2006 for a complex of five casinos went to Eurovegas (formerly known as Venetian), it filing the sole offer. The Venetian Group runs two casinos in Las Vegas, the Venetian and the Palazzo.
