German Kronospan Holding was authorised by the Romanian Competition Council to take over some of the assets of Austrian group Constantia, which manufactures timber products on the local market.

Both companies produce in Romania particleboards and covered particleboards (PAL simple and laminated, including certain parts made from wood based products) and to a smaller extent, based on ornamental stratified materials.

Kronospan owns production failities in Sebes (Central Romania), Kronospan Sebes and Kronospan Sepal. 

Kronospan has developed from Austrian saw milling origins into the worlds largest wood based panel producer through continued investment & innovation.
