Some EUR 2 million is the size of Austrias Roefix inaugural investment in Bulgaria. The construction materials company is building a new plant in Bulgaria.
Construction of the new plant, based in the city of Septemvri, southern Bulgaria, kicked off in late 2005. The plant is already operational and the first set of products, lime mortar, lime and cement mortar and adhesive mortars for heat insulation systems and for tiles, will reach the market in early 2007.
The original capacity of the plant is 30,000 tonnes per year but it will be boosted to 50,000 tonnes next year.
Growth potential of the domestic market led the company to the decision to mull options for building a second plant in the country.
