Raiffeisen Bank BiH and its two subsidies have signed with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) contracts on setting aside EUR 35 million for providing housing loans and improving the use of energy, the Sarajevo daily Dnevni Avaz has reported.

Such means will be made available to Raiffeisen banks in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Kosovo. These banks will now be able to continue the programme of their mortgage loans and develop new products, such as the credits for improving the use of energy.

It is expected that IFCs investment will considerably influence growth in the purchase of apartments, said Edin Muftic, director of Raiffeisen Bank BiH.

“These means will also allow for the expansion in offers for physical persons, small and medium-sized firms,” Muftic added.
