Raiffeisen Asset Management (RAM), a subsidiary of Romanias Raiffeisen Bank S.A., has officially launched operations on the Romanian market. It will start up with two open-end investment funds: Raiffeisen Prosper and Raiffeisen Benefit.
The new company will look to strengthen Raiffeisens positions on the local investment fund market. James Stewart, vice president Romanian Raiffeisen bank in charge of the Treasury Division, is auspicious about the companys prospects as among its core competencies are a highly qualified management team and its affiliation with Raiffeisen Capital Management, a company managing EUR 37 billion in assets.
RAM’s CEO Mihail Ion added, "We provide our customers with an easily accessible comprehensive range of products that are based on the actual development of the financial market and on the investors preferences."
Raiffeisen Prosper will invest in relatively low-risk equities (up to 80 per cent) and fixed-income financial instruments. Its main objective is to increase the capital on a medium and long-term range. It will specifically target customers interested in capital market investments both in Romania and in other countries with sustained economic growth.
