Serbian farmers will be visiting Austria from June 24 until July 15. Organisation for organic food production, Bio Austria, invited nine farmers from Serbia and as many from Ethiopia to visit Austrian producers of organic food.

Some 10 per cent of the overall number of farms in Austria produce organic food, which makes this country the leading one in Europe.

The organisers of the visit are the Austrian Ministry of Agriculture and Bio Austria. They aim to help international exchange of farmers knowledge and experiences in organic food production.

Serbian farmers will be staying at a farm located 100 kilometres north of Vienna, where they will learn about organic food production and apply what they learn in practice.

The Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management is also taking part in the project.
