The National Bank of Greece submitted the only binding bid for the purchase of 99.4 per cent of shares in Novi Sads Vojvodjanska Bank, Serbian Beta news agency reported on Monday.

According to Betas sources from Serbian financial circles, the Greek bank offered about USD 500 million for Vojvodjanska Banks capital.

The other two qualified bidders, Polish PKO Bank and Bank Austria Creditanstalt (BA-CA), did not submit binding bids by June 16.

The value of Vojvodjanska Bank, which employs 2,448 workers and serves more than 680,000 clients, was estimated at EUR 50.32 million.
