Nintendo räumt Auszeichnung für besten Hersteller ab

In der Nacht von Freitag auf Samstag wurden in Las Vegas erstmals The Game Awards ausgetragenen. Die Award-Show, veranstaltet von Industrieveteran Geoff Keighly, will sich als "Oscar der Games-Branche" etablieren und führte dazu in der ersten Ausgabe bereits große Geschütze auf. So waren neben den Auszeichnungen zahlreiche Premieren zu sehen und auch einige Prominente der Unterhaltungsindustrie. Die Wahl zu den besten Spielen des Jahres erfolgte über eine Jury bestehend aus zahlreichen amerikanischen und europäischen Journalisten.

Die Gewinner

Die großen Gewinner heißen "Dragon Age: Inquisition", das zum besten Spiel des Jahres gekürt wurde, und Nintendo, das den Titel für den besten Hersteller 2014 abräumte. Der "Industry Icon"-Award ging an das Gründerehepaar von Sierra Entertainment Ken und Roberta Williams. Alle Sieger und die Nominierten sehen sie in der folgenden Übersicht:
